Unfortunately for Martha, a lot of her story is kind of set up as a Goofus versus Gallant type of business. Adah's story is essentially the written reality of Buchi Emechata's life and it's a painful, yet necessary facet to be aware of while consuming this novel. This book is written in a way that even the most juvenile reader would be capable of reading (though I would not recommend it to them for content reasons)/5.
